Is Twitter Dying?

Tonight on Seesmic I asked the question ‘Is Twitter Dying?’.  I got a good amount of replies to my question, most of them being positive and people hope that the service stays alive.  My true reason behind asking the question was to see what people really thought.  My hope is that Twitter does continue to fix the scalability and architecture issues and comes back stronger than ever.  I really like the community I have built and would have to have to build another one elsewhere.  I have embeded the video from Seesmic, which also shows the entire conversation (the audio is low in my initial post).

I encourage you to leave me your thoughts on this, I am always looking to know what you have to say!

Cheers!

I don’t think Twitter is necessarily dying, I think they are just hitting some major hiccups and some of the die hard users are getting a little turned off by it. But, I think Twitter is pretty close to getting this whole scaling issue fixed, it’s possible that they may be rewriting the service from the ground up with scaling in mind, once that is done everyone will stop their bickering and come back.

I’m not as frustrated as many other people seem to be, I primarily use Twitter with my cell phone via SMS and usually don’t even notice when the service goes down. I really wish track would come back but other then that I can only complain about the 4-5 times per month when I actually visit the web site and it’s a little slow.
