WordPress 1.2 for the iPhone is finally available. It has been a long time coming since the last update to the software. I am thrilled with this new release, as it will allow for page editing and comment moderation from within the app. Additionally, the landscape keyboard is available for writing those posts on the go :)
Cheers to WordPress!

Apr 15, 2009 - 11:04:55to tell you the truth, i hate the app. In my opinion it is horribly designed and doesn’t provide very many features. I just jailbroke my ipod touch 2nd gen and i was hoping that maybe there would be a 3rd party app for wordpress that would be much better, but i couldn’t find a single one. if you do find another app for it, please let me know!
I think the app does what I need it to do while I am on the go. The big upgrade was the ability to approve comments. Are you needing more features than writing posts and pages and approving comments?
i want to be able to upload pictures and have a wysiwyg editor. so when i'm working on my blog from my ipod touch i just use safari and use the actual admin panel
There is a plugin that will let you access the admin via an iPhone style interface, it is called WPtouch. I have not had any issues with the actual WordPress app though. Most of my photoblogging is done via Tumblr (http://tumblr.com), which has an amazing iPhone app.
