On Wednesday’s episode of the Cranky Geeks, John and his guests discussed the story of Steve Ballmer announcing that he will retire in 10 years from Microsoft. The one point from that discussion that stuck in my mind is that there should be a season of The Apprentice where Steve Ballmer runs the show and chooses his replacement. Sebastian Rupley commented about the requirement of the hosts to have bad hair, frankly I didn’t get it.

Well, I was working on some graphics last night for myself and some clients, so I decided to throw together a new version of The Apprentice logo with Steve Ballmer.

I don’t know if John will end up using this for his blog or not, but I felt compelled to put it together anyway.

Cheers!

I use Windows, I will admit it. My primary machine is a Dell XPS laptop. I would love to have a Mac, but the cost is too high.

Why am I writing about this? Well Andrew Dobrow has a great post as to why Robert Scoble should be running Microsoft. He talks about how MS has become so far removed from listening to customers that they are seen as a monster. I can agree with what he wrote. Apple listens to what their customers want and gives it to them. The unfortunate thing is that it is at such a high price.

I just feel that I am still a bit disconnected from my tech friends because I am sitting here running a Windows machine, and they are all sailing along with OSX.

So, does anyone want to buy me a Mac? HA! But seriously, if you want to, I will accept one :)

Cheers!
