2012…Already Busy!
Posted on: January 5, 2012 at 3:59 am | Posted under: LifeTags: Life, new year | Comments: No Comments »
Wow, 2012 is here and I am already busy – not a big surprise there! For those of you that do not keep up with me on Facebook, there has been a lot going on.
The biggest thing in my life right now is Tara :) Here is the tweet that started it all:
@TwainRookie Have you been to a @JackalsHockey game yet this season? I would love to have you join me for one!

Things have been awesome and they just keep getting better :) Yes, I cannot stop smiling :)
Work is keeping me busy and the 2nd Annual Winter Village Bluegrass Festival is at the end of the month – really looking forward to that.
Ok, I must get going and get back to work before heading to meetings in Ithaca for the day – more soon!
Cheers!
Goodbye 2010…

Well here it is, the end of another year and a fresh start for another 365 days. I will admit that I have neglected this blog and with good reason – I have been busy. Many of you follow me on Facebook, which is where I post most of my daily updates. If you have kept up with me on there, there you know how busy I really have been.
2011 will be no different, Monday morning starts out with jury duty in county court – a huge waste of time in my opinion. I have no desire to sit in a room and watch two overpaid suits go back and forth over petty crap. Who knows if I will even get selected to sit on a jury, it is just going to be a waste of time waiting to get called anyway.
My hope is to update this blog more often, I am shooting for once a week if the time allows it. We shall see how things go…
Well, time to run, more work to get done and maybe some sleep if that is possible.
Cheers and welcome to 2011!
Reflecting on 2008
Posted on: January 1, 2009 at 11:02 pm | Posted under: LifeTags: 2008, 2009, new year, reflections | Comments: No Comments »
I have decided to take some time this past week to reflect on the past year. A lot has happened for me in 2008 and I am sharing it with you.
Friendships
2008 brought a lot of new people into my life and a few left. Thanks to the power of social networking and great sites like Twitter, I formed a number of new friendships. Many of these people I have had the amazing pleasure of meeting, the rest I hope to meet in 2009. You know who you are, no need for me to list every single person. Each one of you has made an impression in my life and I am forever grateful to you :)
Work
In the beginning of the year I was still living on unemployment. My departure from Elmira College at the end of June 2007 was to thank for that. I was unsure of what I would be doing for money as the year ramped up. I had the fortunate luck of landing a contract with La Tourelle Resort & Spa in Ithaca, NY to handle their Internet Marketing. In addition to working with them, I have developed a number of business relationships and have a nice portfolio of work from 2008. I am still working with a number of clients in 2009 and I hope to gain more as the year goes on.
Personal Growth
I have seen a lot of personal growth during 2008. I am a year older and a year wiser :) I have expanded my tastes in music and have been more adventurous in the things that I do. My relationships with my mom and sister have continued to strengthen and I love them more and more each day. I have done a lot of growing up and taken on more responsibility this past year, and it shows. My writing still may be horrible, but I can work on that in ’09 ;)
2008 was a year of re-building for me. I have established my brand and I hope to connect with as many people as possible in 2009. Thank you to all of you that helped make the past year an amazing one.
Cheers to 2009!
