Is Twitter Dying?
Posted on: July 4, 2008 at 3:00 am | Posted under: Television, Twitter, VideosTags: seesmic, Twitter | Comments: View Comments
Tonight on Seesmic I asked the question ‘Is Twitter Dying?’. I got a good amount of replies to my question, most of them being positive and people hope that the service stays alive. My true reason behind asking the question was to see what people really thought. My hope is that Twitter does continue to fix the scalability and architecture issues and comes back stronger than ever. I really like the community I have built and would have to have to build another one elsewhere. I have embeded the video from Seesmic, which also shows the entire conversation (the audio is low in my initial post).
I encourage you to leave me your thoughts on this, I am always looking to know what you have to say!
Cheers!
Seesmic is Open for Conversation

After a very welcoming comment from Loic on my other post about Seesmic, I hopped over to check out his blog and saw the following tweet on his Twitter Status:
@UWM_CIO do not tell anyone but we got rid of the invites at Seesmic, we’re open to the public, my team asked me not to tweet it, that’s all
So, an invite is no longer needed to join the video conversation over at Seesmic. Late last night we were discussing what will become of the site when it goes public. The conversation was very interesting.
Just to provide some proof of this, here is a capture of the Sign Up screen.

Will I be seeing you in the video conversation?
Cheers!
Giving Seesmic another chance

I decided to give Seesmic another chance on Saturday. I am not sure why I went back over to the site, but I clicked on the link in my favorites and logged in. All I can say is that I am glad I did. I recorded my profile video and within a matter of minutes I had a reply and was being welcomed into the Seesmic community.
I had tried using Seesmic a few months back, but for some reason, my videos were not showing up after I recorded and posted them to the timeline. Maybe it was a flash issue, or maybe it had to do with my inferior webcam, I am not sure. But today, my videos showed up and I was interacting with a very intelligent community.
I recorded a number of videos on Seesmic. You can see them in my profile, or if you don’t have an account, you can find them on my FriendFeed stream.
Thanks to the Seesmic community, I have found some great new music to listen to and a few more books to add to my summer reading list.
Again, I am glad that I gave Seesmic another chance and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this site.
Do you use Seesmic? What are your thoughts on it?
Cheers!
